The Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role involves analyzing financial information, reconciling accounts, preparing budgets, and assisting in audits to support effective financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and trends.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Process payroll and related tax filings (if applicable).
Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and filing systems.
Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
