KPFOMMACS is the Registered Welfare Association (RWA) representing over 2310 residents of Provident Kenworth. It is responsible for maintaining transparency, accountability, and efficient management of society funds, maintenance, and operations.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage society financials, including billing, collection, resident ledger maintenance, vendor payments, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting skills, hands-on experience with society management software (like MyGate, Nobroker, Apnacomplex, or equivalent), and a service-oriented attitude for dealing with resident queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing and Collection
Generate and issue monthly/quarterly maintenance invoices to all 2310 flats.
Monitor and record receipt of payments through bank transfers, UPI, cheques, and cash.
Ensure follow-ups on unpaid dues and send reminders to defaulters as per association policy.
Maintain a real-time ledger of each flat's dues, advances, and payments.
Coordinate with the MyGate portal team to resolve billing discrepancies.
Resident Engagement
Respond professionally to resident queries regarding maintenance charges, penalties, dues, and invoices via email, WhatsApp, or in person.
Educate new residents or tenants on maintenance structures and payment processes.
Address escalations or grievances related to incorrect charges or delayed updates.
Bookkeeping and Accounting
Maintain proper books of accounts, including cash book, bank book, and general ledger.
Reconcile bank accounts monthly and ensure no mismatch between ledger and actuals.
Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documents for each transaction.
Manage day-to-day petty cash and report cash position weekly.
Vendor Payments and Contractual Oversight
Process payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers after approval and invoice verification.
Ensure timely disbursal of salaries to staff (security, housekeeping, gardening, etc.).
Keep a tracker of due dates for AMC renewals, utility payments (electricity, water), and taxes.
Statutory Compliance
Handle monthly TDS deductions, payments, and quarterly return filings.
Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST returns, if applicable.
Assist with audit preparation and provide all required documentation to external auditors.
Maintain financial compliance with KPFOMMACS by-laws and RWA regulations.
Reporting & MIS
Prepare monthly financial reports: income & expenditure, cash flow statement, and outstanding receivables.
Present financial reports during GBMs (General Body Meetings) or EC (Executive Committee) meetings.
Maintain a dashboard showing collection trends, defaulter lists, and fund utilization.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting. M.Com or CA-Inter preferred.
3-5 years of experience in residential society or cooperative accounting.
Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and society management software (MyGate, ApnaComplex, Society123).
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and local tax norms.
Strong communication (Telugu/Hindi/English) and interpersonal skills.
High integrity and sense of responsibility.
Working Hours:
6 Days a Week: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekly Off: Wednesday
Remuneration:
25000 - ₹ 30000 per month (based on experience)
Festival Bonus as per association norms.
