Position Overview:

As an Accountant at Mak Umbrella, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our business operations. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to the overall financial health and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial records, including but not limited to general ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring prompt and accurate payments and collections. Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights to management for informed decision-making. Prepare and submit various financial reports, tax returns, and compliance documentation in a timely manner. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to the development of financial plans and goals. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during financial audits and examinations. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies. Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. Provide financial analysis and support to other departments, aiding in cost management and efficiency improvement initiatives. Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts within the finance department.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment. Proficiency in accounting software like Tally and MS Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word). Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Integrity and ethical behavior in handling financial information and transactions.
