Assist the accounting department with daily financial and clerical tasks, including data entry and basic financial reporting using Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses).
Maintain and update ledgers and journals.
Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.
Help in preparing simple financial reports and summaries in Excel.
Maintain accurate filing systems for accounting documents.
Support the senior accountant during audits or month-end closings.
Perform basic calculations (totals, subtotals, percentages) using Excel formulas.
Prepare simple charts and summaries for management review.
Support the finance team in preparing monthly expense reports.
Skills Required:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles (debits, credits, journal entries).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, formatting, sorting/filtering).
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Organizational and time management skills.
Good command of Excel (SUM, AVERAGE, IF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
Accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Basic understanding of accounting documents like invoices and receipts.
