Position Summary

We are looking for a

dedicated and honest Accountant

who values purpose-driven work over financial gain. The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, managing day-to-day transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for charitable trusts.

This position is ideal for someone who:

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping in Tally or similar software Record income, donations, grants, and expenses systematically Prepare monthly and annual financial statements Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation of vouchers Reconcile bank accounts and donation records Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports for trustees Ensure compliance with statutory filings (such as Income Tax and others as applicable) Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary data during audits Maintain confidentiality and uphold integrity in financial management

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com preferred) 2-5 years of experience in accounting Proficiency in

Tally

,

MS Excel

, and

basic accounting principles

Knowledge of

statutory compliance for charitable organizations

will be an advantage Good communication and documentation skills High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

Prior experience working with NGOs, religious trusts, or non-profit organizations Willingness to adapt to simple operational environments (not corporate-style) Can manage responsibilities independently with minimal supervision A heart for service and alignment with the organization's values
