The role requires hands-on experience in travel industry accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, with a strong ability to manage end-to-end accounting processes and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
Handle travel industry-specific financial activities such as BSP/IATA reporting, vendor reconciliations, and commission calculations.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and management analysis.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including taxation, TDS, GST/VAT, and other regulatory filings.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.
Support management in decision-making by providing financial insights.
Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and accounting systems.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff (if applicable).
Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (experience in
travel industry accounting preferred
).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
Experience with BSP/IATA reporting and travel-related reconciliations (preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific tools like Travel ERP).
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of travel industry operations and financial processes.
Experience in handling multi-currency transactions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
