Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in India. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the jewelry or mining industry, a strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain books of accounts in accordance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS). Prepare and file monthly GST, TDS, and other statutory returns. Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure accurate ledger entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants. Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant Indian tax laws. Handle inventory accounting and costing, especially for precious metals and stones (preferred for jewelry/mining background). Implement internal financial controls and ensure adherence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent). CA-Inter / Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant / Fully Qualified CA is a plus. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the

jewelry

or

mining

industry. Strong understanding of

Indian financial regulations, GST, TDS

, and statutory compliance. Experience with

Tally ERP

or other accounting software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in handling

gold or mineral inventory accounting

. Knowledge of

import/export procedures, SEZ norms, and customs duties
