with experience in the retail sector to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will be familiar with retail transactions, inventory accounting, and point-of-sale reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update general ledger, journals, and accounting records.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor and customer reconciliations.
Reconcile daily sales, cash, and card transactions from retail outlets.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Monitor inventory accounting and coordinate with the store/warehouse teams.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST, TDS, PF, and PT.
Assist in internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation.
Prepare MIS reports and assist management in financial analysis and decision-making.
Support payroll processing if required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail sector.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel.
Knowledge of retail accounting practices, inventory management, and POS reconciliation.
