We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our IT firm. The successful candidate will manage our day-to-day financial transactions, maintain our financial records, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
- File GST returns accurately and timely
- Manage employee salary accounts and prepare monthly payroll
- Perform bank-related work, such as bank reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, and tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems
- Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis
- Provide support to management in making strategic financial decisions
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an IT setup.
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Experience with GST and tax filing
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in a IT firm environment and additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
