We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage the financial records, oversee budgeting and billing processes, and ensure compliance with tax regulations for our interior design and execution projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of project-based accounting, vendor/client coordination, and inventory costing relevant to the construction and interior design industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bookkeeping & Accounting
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, etc.)
Manage day-to-day accounts including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
Maintain books in compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.)
2. Project-Based Cost Management
Track project-wise expenses, budgets, and profitability.
Reconcile site expenses submitted by project managers or vendors.
Maintain inventory records of materials used in ongoing and completed projects.
3. Billing & Receivables
Generate client invoices as per contract milestones or project stages.
Track receivables and follow up with clients for timely payments.
Reconcile client advances, payment schedules, and credit notes. 4. Vendor Coordination & Payments
Process vendor invoices, verify delivery and quality with project/site team.
Ensure timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain vendor account summaries and update outstanding dues.
5. Compliance & Reporting
Handle monthly GST filings, TDS deductions, and annual returns.
Prepare monthly MIS reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and project-wise profitability.
Assist in internal/external audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter preferred).
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in construction/interior/execution sector).
Proficient in Tally/QuickBooks/Zoho or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing norms, and basic payroll.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients, project teams and vendors.
Nice to Have:
Experience handling project-based costing and BOQ-linked accounting.
Exposure to RERA, project taxations, or tender-based accounting processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
