Job Title: Part-Time Accountant -Home Office

Location: Bandra East, Mumbai

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented and trustworthy Part-Time Accountant to manage the financial and administrative operations of a High-Net-Worth Individual's (HNI) home office. The role involves end-to-end bookkeeping, payment management, documentation control, and coordination with banking, investment, and tax advisors. Discretion and confidentiality are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain day-to-day books of accounts for personal, household and small investment entities.

Record expenses, income, reimbursements, online transactions, and monthly statements.

Perform bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation and cashflow reporting.

Maintain updated ledgers in Tally/Zoho/Excel.

Payments & Vendor Management

Process payments for utilities, vendors, service providers, and household staff.

Track due dates and ensure timely disbursements.

Maintain payment records, receipts and transaction proof systematically.

Documentation & Compliance Support

Organise and maintain financial documents, receipts, contracts, insurance papers, warranties and property-related files.

Coordinate with external CA/Tax Consultant for ITR filing, investment proofs, GST matters (if applicable), and audit documentation.

Ensure adherence to compliance timelines.

Investment Tracking

Maintain updated records of all investments including mutual funds, equities, FDs, bonds, insurance, and real estate-related payments.

Track maturities, SIPs, renewals, payouts, and maintain a monthly MIS for the Principal.

File contract notes and investment statements accurately.

Household & Administrative Coordination

Manage petty cash and prepare household expense summaries.

Coordinate with drivers, caretakers, vendors and service providers as required.

Ensure confidentiality and smooth functioning of the home office.

Reporting

Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports covering expenses, investments and upcoming obligations.

Identify and report discrepancies or unusual activities promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.

3-7 years of relevant accounting experience; prior experience with HNI/family office preferred.

Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks and Excel.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
