Accountant

Why this job's a big deal:

This individual will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for Getaroom.com's general ledger to ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of the division's journal entries and account reconciliations, and to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting. A successful candidate will possess the communication skills and business acumen necessary to interact with multiple teams within Priceline and BHI.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Prepare daily and monthly journal entries, as determined by assigned accounts

Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly; resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis

Responsible for analyzing specific accounts and providing robust commentary on the fluctuations of these accounts each month

Assist with requests from the Priceline GL team, risk and controls, internal audit, external audit, and Booking Holdings, Inc.

Responsible for executing assigned internal controls in a timely manner

Recommend improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of deliverables

Contribute to special projects tin order create a more efficient and controlled environment (e.g. automation, ERP implementation, etc.)

Educational and Experience Requirements:

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, BlackLine,SAP S/4 HANA. Oracle and OneStream desired

4+ years of related professional experience, preferably with a GL team of a US Multinational Company or Big 4 accounting firm.

Preferably Qualified Chartered Accountant

Excel proficiency required

Thrive in an entrepreneurial setting and take ownership of assigned work

Detail oriented

Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Strong analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
