The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing reports, handling billing and payments, and ensuring compliance with statutory and hospital policies. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and sound knowledge of hospital accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update all accounting records in Tally or ERP system.
Prepare daily cash and bank reconciliation statements.
Handle vendor payments, purchase invoices, and expense vouchers.
Prepare and verify patient billing, credit notes, and refunds as per hospital norms.
Monitor outstanding payments and maintain accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
Assist in monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
Prepare MIS reports, financial summaries, and expenditure statements for management.
Support in budgeting and internal/external audit processes.
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
Experience:
Minimum 2-6 years of accounting experience (preferably in hospital or healthcare setup)
Software Skills:
Tally ERP, MS Excel, and knowledge of hospital billing software
Knowledge:
GST, TDS, Payroll, and basic auditing principles
Key Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical ability
Good communication and coordination skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ethical and trustworthy in handling financial data
