Job Description

Amquest Education is looking for a full-time Accountant with practical, hands-on accounting experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations.

This role is strictly NOT an internship. We are looking for candidates who have already worked in real accounting environments and can handle responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain books of accounts including entries, ledgers and reconciliations. Handle GST compliance: GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) Reconciliation with GSTR-2B Manage TDS calculations, deductions, and filings. Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts. Coordinate with CA / auditors for statutory and tax compliance. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Ensure compliance with Indian accounting and tax regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 1 years of accounting experience . Internship-only experience will NOT be considered. Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance. Practical knowledge of: GST & TDS Bookkeeping & reconciliations Experience using accounting software such as: Tally / Zoho Books / similar tools Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience in education, services, or SME accounting. Familiarity with Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas). Experience coordinating with chartered accountants. Understanding of compliance timelines.
