Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

Maintain daily accounting entries (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, contra, journal). Handle

GST billing

, GST return preparation, and reconciliation. Manage

TDS

,

income tax

-related documentation and compliance. Prepare

balance sheets

,

profit & loss statements

, and regular financial reports. Reconcile bank accounts, cash book, and ledger accounts.

Jewellery Industry-Specific Tasks

Manage

gold/diamond jewellery stock accounting

using weight, purity, and hallmark details. Monitor stock movement between workshop, showroom, and suppliers. Handle

karigar (artisan) job-work accounts

, labour charges, and wastage tracking. Maintain records for

bullion purchases, order-based manufacturing, and sales

. Track

approval stock

, consignment stock, and memo billing.

Operational Responsibilities

Coordinate with auditors, vendors, banks, and internal departments. Assist with internal controls, cost management, and budgeting. Manage petty cash and day-to-day financial operations. Ensure compliance with jewellery industry standards and government regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Commerce / Accounting / Finance

. 2-5 years of experience in accounting (experience in

jewellery industry preferred

). Strong knowledge of

Tally ERP / Tally Prime

; experience with jewellery ERP software is an advantage. Understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance. Good communication and analytical skills.
