Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts in accordance with regulatory standards. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Process payroll and maintain employee salary records, deductions, and benefits. Manage school fee collection system and maintain student-wise account tracking. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monitor expenditures in coordination with school leadership. Assist in annual audits, including preparation of financial statements and coordination with auditors. Ensure timely payment of statutory dues such as TDS, PF, PT, and GST. Reconcile bank statements and manage day-to-day banking operations. Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance. Liaise with vendors, staff, and parents regarding financial transactions as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field (Master's or CA Inter preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an educational institution or non-profit organization. Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar. Strong knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and financial best practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with integrity.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with school fee management systems or ERP software. Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic school environment. Good interpersonal skills for interacting with parents and staff.
