to manage our daily bookkeeping and reporting. This role is fully remote (work from home) but requires excellent communication, accuracy, and responsiveness to align with our NZ operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to advising management on payments, receivables, and reconciliations. Knowledge of
New Zealand tax rules
is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Bookkeeping
in Xero:
Enter and reconcile invoices, bills, bank feeds, and expenses.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Cash Flow Monitoring:
Track receivables and payables.
Advise management on payments to be made and money to be collected.
Reporting & Documentation:
Generate financial summaries (weekly/monthly) as needed.
Support with reports for auditors, management, or banks.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the management team in NZ.
Coordinate with external accountants/tax advisors when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Accountant (2+ years preferred).
Proficiency in Xero
(mandatory).
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and reporting.
Good Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Knowledge of
NZ tax/accounting practices
preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.

Location:
Mumbai (remote, WFH).
Hours:
Must be flexible to overlap with NZ time zone (at least 3-4 hours/day).
Tools:
Xero, Google Workspace, and other collaboration tools.
