Job Summary:



The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day accounting activities. This role plays a key part in tracking project expenses, vendor payments, and compliance with statutory requirements in a construction company.

Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Record Management:



Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for projects, vendors, and internal operations. Record and reconcile daily transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:



Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments. Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable balances regularly.

3. Bank Reconciliation:



Reconcile bank statements with company accounts. Track and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

4. Project Accounting Support:



Track construction project costs, including material, labor, and other expenses. Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to respective projects. Assist in preparing project-wise profitability reports.

5. Compliance and Taxation:



Assist in TDS, GST, and other statutory compliance, including timely filing and payment. Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.

6. Monthly and Year-End Reporting:



Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Participate in year-end closing activities and audits.

7. Documentation and Filing:



Maintain organized records of financial transactions and correspondence. Ensure proper documentation of agreements, invoices, and receipts.

8. Ad Hoc Tasks:



Support senior accountants in resolving accounting issues. Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounts Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:Education:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Pursuing or completed CA/ICWA/MBA Finance will be an advantage.

Experience:



1 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or real estate industry. Freshers with strong academic backgrounds and relevant internships are also encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills:



Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations in India.

Key Skills:



Strong analytical and numerical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):



Accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Timely reconciliation of accounts and records. Compliance with tax and statutory requirements. Efficiency in managing project-related costs and reporting.

Pay: ₹8,288.67 - ₹15,936.75 per month
