The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, overseeing recovery processes, and handling internal fund management. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting Under Zoho Books:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal use and external audits.
Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
Recoveries:
Manage and oversee the recovery of outstanding receivables and overdue accounts.
Coordinate with clients and internal teams to follow up on overdue payments and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
Implement effective collection strategies to minimize bad debts and improve cash flow.
Prepare and maintain reports on recovery status and outstanding balances.
Internal Fund Management:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against these budgets.
Manage internal funds, ensuring proper allocation and usage in line with financial policies and procedures.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting, financial management, and recoveries, preferably in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting software Tally and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Understanding about the Accounting software of Zoho Books. We maintain our accounts in Zoho Books.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Accounting is a plus.
Experience with Zoho Books is advantageous.
