Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, assisting in budgeting and financial analysis, and handling purchasing responsibilities. Candidates with purchasing experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger & Reconciliation:

Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries. Reconcile accounts and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Process invoices, manage payments, and maintain vendor relationships. Oversee accurate billing and ensure timely collection of payments from clients.
3. Financial Reporting:

Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial forecasts. Analyse variances and present findings with actionable recommendations.
4. Tax Compliance:

Assist with GST, sales tax, and other applicable financial regulations. Ensure the company adheres to all tax laws and financial compliance requirements.
5. Internal Controls & Auditing:

Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. Support internal and external audit processes as needed.
6. Budget Management:

Assist in preparing and monitoring the company's annual budget. Track expenses and ensure alignment with financial goals, reporting any variances.
7. Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide insights on cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies.
8. Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations. Propose strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.
9. Cost Reduction & Efficiency:

Identify areas for cost reduction, particularly in production, labor, and overheads. Recommend strategies to improve financial and operational efficiencies.
10. Purchasing & Vendor Management:

Handle procurement of materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favourable terms. Ensure timely procurement and inventory management to support operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing, sports equipment, or related industries. Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho preferred) and advanced MS Excel skills.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.

o Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

o Experience in purchasing and procurement processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
