Job Description

The Accountant at B-GHUD Academy is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations of the institute, including student fee accounting, expense management, payroll, and statutory compliance. The role ensures accurate financial records, transparency, and timely reporting to support smooth academic and administrative operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain daily accounts including student fee collections, expenses, and petty cash. Record transactions accurately in accounting software. Perform bank and cash reconciliation on a regular basis. Track admissions, fee payments, pending dues, and refunds. Maintain fee registers and issue payment receipts. Coordinate with admin staff for fee-related updates. Prepare and process monthly staff salaries and incentives. Maintain payroll records and salary statements. Handle GST entries and returns (if applicable). Manage TDS deductions and filings. Assist in audits and compliance-related documentation. Prepare monthly income-expense statements and financial reports. Maintain proper filing of financial and statutory documents. Provide financial data required by management for decision-making. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and vendors. Support management in budgeting and financial planning.

Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com in Accounting or Finance. Knowledge of accounting practices in education or training institutes preferred.

Experience

1-4 years of accounting experience. Experience in institutes, offices, or service-based organizations is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in Tally / Zoho / Excel. Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and payroll. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and communication skills.

Experience handling fee-based institute accounts. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Ethical, disciplined, and confidential handling of financial data.
