We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at a beverage manufacturing unit in Manor, Palghar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all accounting principles and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting specific to the manufacturing industry and the ability to contribute to strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Cost Accounting:
Analyze and track production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. Prepare cost reports and conduct variance analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against these budgets.
Taxation and Compliance:
Handle all tax-related matters, including GST, TDS, and other relevant taxes. Ensure compliance with all local and national financial regulations.
Inventory Management:
Work closely with the operations and supply chain teams to maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile inventory accounts.
Auditing:
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
Ad-hoc Analysis:
Provide financial analysis and reports to management to support business planning and decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field. A professional certification like CMA or CA (Inter) is a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with a background in the manufacturing or food and beverage industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP 9, SAP, QuickBooks).
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
