We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for Maitreya Electrical Contracting. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in accounts handling, bookkeeping, and basic financial documentation, preferably within construction/electrical contracting or related fields. Key Responsibilities
Maintain daily accounting entries including purchase, sales, receipts, and payments
Handle accounts payable and receivable
Manage and reconcile bank statements and cash books
Prepare GST working, invoice verification, and filing support
Assist in payroll preparation and vendor payments
Maintain petty cash and update expenditure records
Assist auditors with required documents during audit
Coordinate with vendors/clients on billing and payment follow-ups
Prepare basic financial reports as required by management
Maintain proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping for all accounts-related work Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in B.Com / M.Com / Accounting or related field
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime
Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and general accounting principles
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
Strong attention to detail & accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills Preferred Attributes
Experience in contracting / electrical / construction companies is an advantage
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
