Job Overview

A Project Accountant is responsible for managing and monitoring the financial aspects of specific projects within an organization. This role ensures accurate financial tracking, budget control, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting. The Project Accountant works closely with project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support project success while maintaining financial stability and transparency.

Roles & Responsibilities

Process project-related invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies Allocate project costs to appropriate departments or cost centers Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Prepare and present project financial reports and budget updates Monitor project expenses, cash flow, and budget compliance Support revenue recognition in line with accounting standards Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for projects Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements Identify financial risks and suggest cost-control and process improvements Communicate regularly with project managers and stakeholders Use accounting software and financial tools effectively

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Willingness to learn project-based accounting practices Experience: 3-4 years Tools: ERP Next, MS Office

Requirements

Knowledge of accounting software and financial tools Strong analytical and numerical skills Attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial documentation Familiarity with compliance standards and audit processes (preferred for experienced roles)
