Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure proper classification and coding of all transactions.
Invoice Processing:
Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Verify purchase orders, delivery notes, and other supporting documents for vendor payments.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Provide detailed analysis of project costs and highlight variances against budgets.
Tax Compliance:
Assist in the preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Budget Tracking and Monitoring:
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Work closely with site teams to control costs and maintain financial discipline.
Payroll Assistance:
Support the processing of payroll, including calculations of salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions.
Maintain accurate employee financial records.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain organized and secure financial records, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
Ensure proper documentation to support internal and external audits.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Liaise with site managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to address financial queries and ensure smooth operations.
Provide assistance during financial reviews and audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
