About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Accountant to manage financial operations across our architectural, interior design, and turnkey execution projects. The role requires expertise in handling project-wise accounts, vendor and client payment tracking, expense categorization, and maintaining financial discipline that supports smooth project execution. ---

Key Responsibilities

1.

Project Accounting & Expense Management

Maintain project-wise accounts, tracking income, expenses, and profitability. Categorize expenses (materials, labor, vendors, consultants, site expenses, overheads, etc.) for accurate reporting. Ensure daily entries of payments and receipts with supporting bills/invoices. Track advances given to contractors, vendors, and site staff, ensuring timely reconciliation.

2. Client Billing & Payment Follow-up

Prepare and send invoices as per project milestones. Send payment reminders via email/WhatsApp/call to clients and follow up until collection. Maintain a record of outstanding receivables and ensure timely payments.

3. Vendor & Contractor Payments

Verify vendor and contractor bills against BOQs and project progress before releasing payments. Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement to avoid delays on site. Reconcile vendor accounts regularly.

4. Compliance & Documentation

Maintain records of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements. Support external auditors with required documents. Keep all contracts, invoices, and receipts systematically filed (digital + physical).

5. Reporting & Analysis

Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports on cash flow, project profitability, outstanding receivables, and payables. Track and report profit percentages for each project. Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.

6. Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with the design and site teams for project-related expenses. Communicate with clients for billing clarifications and follow-ups. Liaise with vendors for account settlements and reconciliation. ---

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance. 2-5 years of experience in project-based accounting (preferably in construction, architecture, or interiors industry). Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks / MS Excel. Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills for client and vendor coordination. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
