Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the furniture, interior, and construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Additionally, the role will involve quantity surveying duties, including measurement, costing, and procurement of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Duties:

- Financial record-keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

- Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against projections.

Quantity Surveying Duties:

- Measurement and costing: Measure and quantify materials and labor required for projects.

- Procurement: Procure materials and services from vendors and suppliers.

- Cost control: Monitor project costs and identify areas for cost savings.

- Bill preparation: Prepare and verify bills for payment.

Requirements:

- Professional qualification: B.com, M.com, CMA, or equivalent for accounting duties. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field for quantity surveying duties.

- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting and/or quantity surveying.

- Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the furniture, interior, and construction industry is desirable.

- Software skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP) and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift).
