Job Title: Internal Auditor - Finance

Job Summary

The Internal Auditor - Finance is responsible for independently evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance of the organization's financial controls, accounting systems, and statutory requirements. The role ensures accuracy of financial records, compliance with laws, prevention of fraud, and improvement of internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Audit & Control

Conduct periodic internal audits of books of accounts, vouchers, and financial statements Verify accuracy of accounting entries and compliance with accounting standards Review internal financial controls and suggest improvements Ensure proper authorization and documentation of transactions

2. Compliance & Statutory Review

Check compliance with Income Tax, GST, Companies Act / Cooperative Act, and other applicable laws Review statutory returns, filings, and challans Ensure timely compliance with regulatory requirements

3. Risk Assessment & Fraud Prevention

Identify financial risks, control weaknesses, and potential fraud areas Recommend corrective and preventive measures Monitor implementation of audit recommendations

4. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare internal audit reports with findings, observations, and recommendations Present audit reports to management / audit committee Maintain proper audit working papers and documentation

5. Process Improvement

Evaluate financial processes and suggest cost-saving measures Assist management in strengthening governance and transparency Support implementation of best financial practices

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance) / M. Com / B. Com (with relevant experience)

Experience

Minimum

2-5 years

of experience in internal audit, finance, or accounting Experience in companies, societies, cooperatives, or NGOs preferred
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
