Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage the company's daily accounts, logistics trip records, and financial reporting. The candidate will oversee Tally entries, fuel and trip expenses, invoices, vendor payments, and client billing, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations in Tally ERP including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Maintain trip-wise expense sheets (diesel, tolls, driver advances, maintenance, etc.) for each vehicle.
Prepare and verify client invoices for transport partners such as Amazon, Flipkart, Bluedart, etc.
Monitor and record payment follow-ups and outstanding balances.
Manage GST, TDS, and E-way bills as per transport business norms.
Coordinate with drivers, dispatch teams, and clients for trip closure, POD submissions, and payment clearances.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial summaries for management review.
Assist in audit preparations and maintain proper documentation of all transactions.
Maintain a strong check on cash flow, diesel cards, and bank reconciliations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
2-5 years of experience in accounting (preferably in transport or logistics sector).
Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime, Excel (Advanced level), and basic accounting principles.
Good understanding of transport documentation (LR, POD, invoices, e-way bills, etc.).
Ability to handle multi-vehicle expense tracking and daily reporting.
Strong follow-up and communication skills for client and vendor coordination.
Attention to detail, integrity, and a problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience with Amazon / Bluedart / Flipkart trip billing or reconciliation.
Knowledge of fleet management systems or transport management software.
Understanding of GST filings and compliance related to logistics.
Salary: 25000-30000 Per Month
