Job Overview:



The Accountant applies their conceptual knowledge of accounting and with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward accounting problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures, as well as building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The accountant understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations through analysis of possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:



Maintain internal financial control over an area of responsibility Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger Follow work procedures and expedite workflow Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to company accounting policies and procedures Analyze records of present and past operations, trends, and costs Develop and maintain a computer-based system following corporate accounting procedures Ensure that all activities involving foreign currency are hedged according to company policy Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required Align and coordinate with other departments and maintain a good working relationship to ensure overall efficiency

Essential Qualifications and Education:



Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 3-4 years of relevant experience Strong technical, team, and communication skills Ability to multi-task and manage tight reporting schedules
