Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our e-commerce organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements in India. The Accountant will also collaborate with various departments to streamline financial processes and optimize the organization's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Transactions & Records:

Manage and record all daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, refunds, and returns.

Maintain accurate general ledgers, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable and receivable.

2. Taxation & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with GST regulations, file GST returns, and reconcile GST credits.

Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and timely filing of TDS returns.

Assist in audits and ensure compliance with other statutory and regulatory requirements.

3. Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory movements and ensure accurate stock valuation.

Coordinate with the operations team to ensure proper recording of stock purchases, returns, and wastage.

4. E-commerce Platform Accounting:

Manage payment gateways and reconcile payments from various online platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, FirstCry, Meesho, Myantra etc).

Reconcile marketplace fees, commissions, and shipping charges.

Track and record COD (Cash on Delivery) transactions.

5. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for cost-saving.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting financial performance.

6. Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, marketing, and supply chain) to ensure smooth financial processes.

Provide financial insights to support business decisions and growth strategies.

7. Technology & Tools:

Utilize accounting software such as Tally etc.

8. Audit & Financial Controls:

Ensure internal controls are in place to safeguard the company's financial assets.

Assist in both internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely responses to auditors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment.

Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.

Experience with e-commerce payment gateways and platform accounting.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with payment gateways and e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, FirstCry, Meesho and Myntra etc.
