Looking for a competent Accountant with 1-2 years of experience to manage accounting and compliance duties -- including bookkeeping in Tally, GST return filing, ledger maintenance, reconciliations and financial record management.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain full bookkeeping: record daily transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments) using Tally.
Maintain ledgers, journals, trial balance, and manage general ledger entries.
Perform bank / cash reconciliation, ledger balancing, vendor & customer ledger maintenance.
Handle GST compliance: prepare data, reconcile input tax credits, file GST returns (e.g. GSTR-1, GSTR-3B or as per requirements), ensure accurate documentation.
Assist in invoicing, billing, expense tracking, and prepare financial reports or monthly statements as needed.
Maintain records in Excel / spreadsheets (data entry, bookkeeping, MIS reports, perhaps simple analysis) -- good Excel skills required.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (GST, accounts, audits/tax documentation) and support internal reviews or audits if required
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (or equivalent)
1-2 years of hands-on experience in accounting/bookkeeping. Shine+1
Proficiency in Tally (or TallyPrime / TallyERP-9) -- must be comfortable doing bookkeeping, ledger entries, invoicing, etc.
Good knowledge of GST regulations and experience in GST return filing / compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets--comfortable with spreadsheets, data entry, basic calculations / MIS reporting.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data, good organizational skills.
Good communication skills (verbal and written), ability to coordinate with team/customers/vendors.
