Job Description

Core responsibilities

Record and track finances:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and books of accounts.

Prepare financial statements:

Produce key financial reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Perform analysis and reporting:

Analyze financial data, assess financial operations, and create reports to help management make informed decisions.

Manage budgets and forecasts:

Develop and manage budgets, and create financial forecasts.

Reconcile accounts:

Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Ensure compliance:

Ensure all financial records and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting principles (like GAAP).

Handle taxes:

Prepare and file tax returns, and advise on strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Additional duties

Review and process invoices, and manage payments. Manage payroll functions. Liaise with external auditors and banks. Provide strategic advice on financial planning, investments, and cost reduction. Implement or update accounting systems and software.
