Job Description

The Accountant Cum Transport Coordinator is responsible for managing the school's financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school transport system. This position ensures financial accuracy, compliance with policies, and efficient, safe, and timely transportation services for students and staff.

Accounting Duties:

Manage daily accounting activities including bookkeeping, vouchers, receipts, and payments. Prepare and maintain financial records such as ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations. Process fee collections, prepare invoices, and issue receipts to parents. Maintain records of staff payroll, advances, and reimbursements.

Transport Coordination Duties:

Plan, schedule, and coordinate the daily operation of school transport routes. Maintain and update student transport lists, pickup/drop-off points, and routes. Supervise and manage school drivers and transport staff. Monitor the condition, insurance, and maintenance schedules of school vehicles.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in

Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration

, or a related field. Minimum

2-4 years of experience

in accounting and/or transport coordination (preferably in a school or educational institution). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar). Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with transport management and scheduling is an advantage.

Age Criteria:

Candidates over the Age of 28 will be preferred for the job.
