We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team for a 3-month contract position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and have hands-on experience in managing various financial functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Manage and monitor accounts receivable processes
Prepare and send invoices to clients
Follow up on overdue payments
Reconcile accounts receivable accounts
Accounts Payable:
Process and verify vendor invoices
Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
Reconcile accounts payable accounts
TDS:
Calculate and deduct TDS as per applicable tax laws
Prepare and file TDS returns
Payroll:
Process payroll for employees, including salaries, taxes, and other deductions
Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement
Maintain employee records and payroll documentation
Accrued Expenses:
Accrue expenses that have been incurred but not yet invoiced or paid
Ensure accurate recording of accrued expenses
Prepaid Expenses:
Record and monitor prepaid expenses
Allocate prepaid expenses to appropriate periods
Postpaid Expenses:
Process and record postpaid expenses
Ensure timely payment of postpaid bills
GST:
Ensure compliance with GST regulations
Prepare and file GST returns
Handle GST input credit and output tax calculations
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally)
Excellent knowledge of TDS and GST regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
