The Cafe Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations of the cafe, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, cost control, compliance, and timely reporting to support smooth business operations and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain daily accounts, cash flow, and bank reconciliation
Handle billing, invoices, vendor payments, and petty cash
Monitor cafe sales, expenses, and profit margins
Manage inventory accounting, food cost & beverage cost analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Process payroll, staff incentives, and statutory deductions
Ensure GST compliance, filing returns, and coordinating audits
Track purchases, wastage, and cost control measures
Coordinate with suppliers and resolve payment discrepancies
Support management with budgeting and financial planning
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
2-5 years of accounting experience (hospitality/cafe preferred)
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and POS systems
Good understanding of food & beverage costing
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cafe, restaurant, or hotel industry
Knowledge of inventory management systems
Ability to handle multiple outlets (if applicable)
