The Accountant Assistant will support the finance and accounting department in managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. This role is crucial in assisting senior accountants and management with bookkeeping, reporting, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and journals.
Support in processing invoices, receipts, payments, and expense reports.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursement tracking.
Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing and data entry.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial transactions.
Monitor petty cash and support budget tracking.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance support roles preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong academic knowledge may also apply.

Office-based role with regular interaction with finance and HR teams.
May require occasional extended hours during financial closing periods.
