Punnamada Backwater Resort is a premium lakeside resort in Alappuzha known for its serene environment, exceptional hospitality, and high service standards. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented
Accountant
to join our team and support our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update day-to-day accounting records.
Prepare and file
GST, TDS, and statutory returns
accurately and on time.
Manage
accounts payable & receivable
, vendor reconciliation, and invoice processing.
Handle
bank reconciliation
, cash books, and daily revenue reports.
Monitor
petty cash
and ensure proper documentation.
Prepare monthly
Profit & Loss statements
, balance sheets, and MIS reports.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Work with FO/F&B/Operations teams to validate daily collection reports and revenue data.
Ensure compliance with resort and company financial policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Commerce/Accounting/Finance
.
2-3 years
of accounting experience (hotel/resort industry preferred).
Strong knowledge of
Tally ERP / Tally Prime
, MS Excel, and basic accounting software.
Good understanding of
GST, TDS, audits, and statutory compliance
.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in hospitality sector accounting
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to multitask and handle pressure during peak seasons
