Accountancy Teacher - CBSE Secondary

Job Purpose

The Accountancy Teacher is responsible for delivering high quality teaching to secondary students as per the CBSE curriculum. The role focuses on effective lesson planning, clear conceptual teaching, continuous assessment, and supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes. The teacher is also expected to contribute to the school's academic environment, ensure discipline, and maintain smooth coordination with parents and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Accountancy to secondary students as per CBSE standards. Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum. Ensure clarity in explaining accounting concepts, problem solving, and application based learning. Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide timely feedback. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation. Support students during examinations through guidance and doubt clearing sessions. Plan and execute remedial classes when required for slow learners. Use teaching aids, technology tools, and relevant resources to enhance learning. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages discipline, participation, and engagement. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behaviour. Participate in school events, academic meetings, and professional development programs. Work collaboratively with the academic team to ensure smooth curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Commerce or related field. B.Ed mandatory as per CBSE requirements. Prior teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.
