The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, timely preparation of financial reports, managing audits, and leading the accounts team. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills to maintain accurate financial records and support strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management
Monitor and manage daily accounting operations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and ledgers.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and company policies.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Maintain statutory books of accounts and handle filings with relevant authorities.
3. Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor the accounts team.
Assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure accuracy and efficiency in the team's work.
Conduct periodic performance reviews.
4. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare financial reports for management, including profit/loss statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
Provide insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
5. Vendor & Client Management
Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and follow-up for outstanding receivables.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
CA/ICWA/MBA Finance preferred.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Skills Required:
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with Tally ERP, SAP, or other accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
