We are seeking a strategic and experienced General Manager of Accounts & Finance to oversee and enhance our financial operations. The GM will be responsible for the overall financial management, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insights to drive the organization's financial strategy. This leadership role requires a strong background in finance and accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
Direct and oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Strategic Financial Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, to align with organizational objectives.
Accounts Management:
Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely reconciliation of financial transactions.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow and liquidity, developing strategies to optimize working capital and maintain financial stability.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective internal controls and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing recommended improvements.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct thorough financial analysis to provide insights on performance, profitability, and opportunities for cost reduction, supporting strategic decision-making.
Policy Development:
Develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and uphold best practices in financial management.
Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with senior management and other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives and enhance organizational performance.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., ERP, Oracle, Tally prime) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with financial modelling and analysis tools is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse finance team, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
