Job Description

An Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations, manages accounting staff, ensures accurate financial reporting (statements, budgets, forecasts), maintains compliance (GAAP/IFRS), handles month/year-end closes, coordinates audits, and provides financial insights to leadership, requiring strong analytical, leadership, and technical accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Department Oversight:

Supervise daily activities, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows).

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and long-term financial forecasts.

Compliance & Controls:

Ensure adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and implement internal controls.

Audit Coordination:

Manage internal and external audits and liaise with auditors.

Staff Management:

Train, guide, and evaluate accounting team members.

Process Improvement:

Develop and implement efficient accounting policies and procedures.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or relevant certification (often preferred). Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Oversee timely and accurate closing of monthly books.

Data Analysis:

Identify financial trends, variances, and risks/opportunities.

Strategic Support:

Provide financial data and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
