The Accounts Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing household budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely payments for all personal and household-related accounts. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain complete and up-to-date household accounts and ledgers
Record and track all income, expenses, and petty cash transactions
Prepare monthly expense reports and budget summaries for the household
Manage bill payments (utilities, maintenance, subscriptions, etc.) on time
Handle vendor payments and maintain records of service agreements
Coordinate with household staff for budget allocations and reimbursements
Maintain records for household assets, repairs, and maintenance costs
Work with auditors or accountants during annual financial reviews
Ensure all financial data is stored securely and confidentially
Monitor cash flow and forecast household expenses for upcoming months
Negotiate with vendors or service providers to optimize household costs
Assist in planning events with proper budgeting and expense tracking
Maintain and manage banking details (credit card payments, RTGS, cheque books, etc.)
Responsible for maintaining business accounts for the family-owned event management company
Manage foreign transfers and international financial transactions securely and efficiently
Requirements
Proven experience in accounts management, bookkeeping, or finance (preferably for private households or high-net-worth families)
5-6 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
Excellent numerical and organizational skills
Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Good communication skills in English and local language
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing household finances or estate accounts
Familiarity with budgeting for domestic and personal expenses
Knowledge of digital payment systems and online banking
Ability to create financial dashboards for easy household budget monitoring
Prior experience working with families requiring high levels of discretion and professionalism
