Accounting Manager
to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
Role Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounting function, managing financial reporting, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong financial acumen, experience in the education sector (preferred), and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial operations.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparation of financial statements.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with senior management to provide financial analysis, forecasts, and budget support.
Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency in financial operations.
Support new initiatives such as expansion projects, partnerships, or acquisitions with financial due diligence.
Qualifications & Skills
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's/CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
Experience in the education sector or service-based industries is an advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
