Job Description

The Manger Accounts will oversee the accounting and financial operations of the Transport Mobility company. This position is responsible for leading the accounting team of mid-size team ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and driving financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistic and transport mobility financials, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mind-set to contribute to the company's overall financial health and growth.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Reporting and Compliance:



Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements. Lead the preparation of reports for senior management and investors, highlighting key financial metrics and performance. Ensure proper internal controls and safeguard company assets.

Budgeting and Forecasting:



Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the company, including annual operating costs, capital expenditures, and cash flow. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and corrective action recommendations. Analyse trends in revenue, expenses, and profitability, providing actionable insights to senior management.

Cost Management and Profitability:



Ensure proper costing methods are in place for all line of business verticals processes. Analyse operations costs, inventory, and employee costs to ensure profitability. Implement and optimize cost-control strategies, driving efficiency improvements throughout the operating process.

Taxation and Audits:



Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws. Manage the external audit process, coordinating with auditors and providing necessary documentation. Advise management on tax implications of various financial decisions and business strategies.

Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:



Oversee cash flow management to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet operational and capital requirements. Manage working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and etc. Optimize the company's cash position through efficient receivables management and vendor negotiations. Timely identification of additional credit facilities required and manage the related process including data preparation, documentation, query handling etc.

Investor and Banking relationship Management:



Managing investor entry and exits specifically with regards to statutory compliances, fund flows, contract finalisation etc Handling different types of investor due diligences. Analyse and provide inputs on investor contracts, term sheets, valuation reports etc Sharing data and reports with Investors as required and handling their queries Understanding of valuation methodologies would be an added advantage Handling existing and new banking relationships including query resolutions, data sharing and any other ad-hoc requirements Manage the process related to obtaining new lines of credit or enhancement under the current credit facilities including data preparation, documentation, query handling etc

Tally and Financial Systems Management:



Lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting software/Tally systems, ensuring that systems are integrated and functioning efficiently. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions within the system. Evaluate and implement technological solutions to improve financial reporting and analysis.

Strategic Planning and Advisory:



Collaborate with senior management and other departments (e.g., operations, sales) to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making. Provide financial recommendations to help guide the company in achieving long-term growth objectives. Act as a business partner to the management team, advising on financial strategies, mergers, acquisitions, or expansions.

Accounts and Finance Process Improvements:



Identifying the accounting and finance process gaps and implement the strategy as per requirement

Analyse the work flow on daily bases to improve the efficiency and set the standards in the department.

Team Leadership:



Manage, mentor, and develop the accounts and finance team, providing guidance and support for career progression.

Establish performance targets, review performance, and provide feedback and development plans for team members.

Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment

Qualifications and Skills:



Education:



Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification such as MBA / CA or Post Graduation in finance or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:



Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with experience in leadership roles. Strong experience in transport mobility industry accounting, cost management, and financial analysis. Proven track record of managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Technical Skills:



Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, corporate laws , FEMA, and other regulations Proficiency with Tally, MS Excel and other tools Understanding of SEBI guidelines on various aspects shall be an added advantage Knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
