We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to lead the accounting, taxation, compliance, and banking functions of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in EPC / Construction / Railway sector financial operations and strong expertise in statutory compliance, audits, and banking coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Control
Supervise daily accounting entries including sales, purchase, bank, cash, and expense entries.
Verify proforma invoices, purchase bills, and ensure they match the Purchase Order before payment.
Ensure all bills are verified and approved by authorized personnel.
Review site expenses, petty cash statements, and weekly disbursements.
Maintain debtor/creditor statements and reconcile accounts monthly.
Prepare final payment statements and coordinate online payments.
Check salary entries in Tally, prepare salary statements, and coordinate approvals.
2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and file TDS, GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), PT returns within timelines.
Send Tally data to CA on time and ensure GST reconciliation/ITC statements are updated.
Ensure PF, ESIC filings and employee statutory deductions are completed accurately.
Support statutory audits, income tax filings, Form 16 issuance, and advance tax calculations.
Maintain compliance for Directors' tax filings and personal accounts.
3. Banking & Finance Management
Coordinate with banks for BGs, FDs, EMDs, LCs, PID transactions, and limit renewals.
Prepare BG drafts, extension letters, release requests, and track all BG-related documents.
Handle Letter of Credit, bill discounting, and verify applicable bank charges.
Liaise with bank officers for issue resolution, charge reversals, and efficient transactions.
Prepare and submit monthly debtor/creditor statements to banks.
4. Tender & Compliance Support
Prepare financial compliance documents for tender submissions, including BGs and bid capacity statements.
Coordinate with CA for certifications and with CS for ROC-related filings.
Ensure timely submission of performance guarantees post-award.
Maintain complete compliance documentation for tenders and contracts.
5. Audit, Coordination & Documentation
Work closely with CA, CS, and auditors during tax audits, statutory audits, and ROC visits.
Maintain accurate financial documentation, reconciliation records, GST working files, and compliance registers.
Ensure annual GST returns (state-wise) and other statutory filings are submitted accurately.
Required Skills & Competencies
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial operations.
Expertise in Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, and corporate taxation.
Ability to finalize accounts, prepare MIS reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
Experience managing cash flow, receivables, payables, and banking relations.
Ability to lead accounting operations independently with accuracy and timeliness.
