Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Ensure timely and accurate closing of books, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Cost Accounting & Inventory Control

Monitor and manage cost accounting processes including BOM (Bill of Materials), standard costing, and variance analysis. Analyze product costing and margins, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-saving strategies. Ensure accurate valuation and accounting of raw materials, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods inventory.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts. Analyze actual vs. budgeted performance and provide actionable insights to management.

Accounts Payable/Receivable & Treasury

Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Manage vendor payments, customer collections, and aging analysis.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure process efficiency. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the finance function.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred). Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing; experience in jewelry or luxury goods is a strong advantage. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems). Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability. Knowledge of import/export documentation, GST, and compliance is preferred.
