About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Account Manager with strong expertise in Sales, Delivery, and Client Relationship Management within the Indian IT Contract Staffing industry. The ideal candidate is someone who has scaled from delivery to client ownership and is now ready to manage end-to-end account growth -- from business acquisition to delivery execution and client retention.
This role will be based in Gurgaon and will focus on expanding Horizontal's domestic IT staffing business across North India.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage key client accounts, ensuring consistent growth, high satisfaction, and repeat business.
Collaborate closely with Delivery and Sales teams to ensure timely fulfillment of open positions, quality submissions, and aligned client expectations.
Drive new business development -- identify and engage potential clients, particularly product-based and enterprise organizations in the tech space.
Act as the strategic bridge between clients and internal teams, translating hiring needs into executable delivery plans.
Own the P&L for assigned accounts, tracking profitability, revenue forecasting, and growth opportunities.
Lead account farming and upselling across IT verticals, including niche and emerging tech roles.
Partner with Delivery Managers to maintain strong submittal-to-interview and fill-rate ratios.
Monitor market trends and hiring patterns to identify new business avenues.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with CXO, HR, and procurement stakeholders.
Leverage CRM, ATS (Bullhorn/CEIPAL), and market data tools to drive account visibility and performance tracking.
Mentor and guide junior team members or recruiters aligned to your accounts.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in technical recruitment or IT delivery.
Experience in a fast-paced staffing environment with structured KPIs.
Engineering or technical degree preferred.
Exposure to hybrid delivery and account growth models.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
8-12 years of overall experience in the IT staffing industry, with a balanced mix of sales, account management, and delivery ownership.
Proven success in managing client portfolios and growing business within domestic IT contract staffing.
Hands-on experience with delivery operations -- understanding of sourcing, screening, and placement processes.
Strong negotiation and client-handling skills with exposure to product-based and enterprise clients.
Excellent understanding of contractual models, pricing structures, and staffing SLAs.
Proficiency in CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ATS platforms like Bullhorn or CEIPAL.
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
