Job Title: Account Trainee

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Fern Residency Hotel, Vadodara, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Account Trainee

to join our Finance & Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in hotel accounting. The trainee will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounts department in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments. Support the accounts team in processing accounts payable and receivable. Help in reconciling bank statements and daily transaction reports. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements. Verify and process employee expense claims and vendor bills. Support payroll processing and maintain employee financial records. Ensure compliance with hotel accounting policies and procedures. Assist in inventory management and cost control activities. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies. Perform data entry and maintain organized filing of financial documents. Support during internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in

Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA-Finance preferred)

. Basic knowledge of

accounting principles and Tally ERP/other accounting software

. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in

MS Excel

(VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.). Good communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Experience:

Freshers are welcome

; prior internship experience in accounting/finance is a plus.
