To manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support smooth business transactions for the sweet line business.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting Operations
Record sales, purchases, expenses, and other transactions in accounting software.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and voucher entries.
Reconcile daily cash, bank, and credit transactions.
Billing & Invoicing
Prepare and issue sales invoices to distributors, retailers, and direct customers.
Ensure GST and other applicable taxes are correctly applied.
Inventory & Cost Tracking
Coordinate with the store department for raw material and finished goods stock reports.
Assist in costing and pricing of sweets and confectionery products.
Vendor & Customer Accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Follow up for outstanding payments from customers.
Verify and process vendor bills for payment.
Taxation & Compliance
Assist in GST return preparation and filing.
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales and expense reports.
Support management in budget preparation and cost control.
Coordination
Work closely with production, purchase, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Liaise with auditors during internal/external audits.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST.
Proficiency in Tally/ERP or similar accounting software.
Good MS Excel skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Communication and coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
Experience:
1-3 years in FMCG / sweets & confectionery / manufacturing sector (preferred).
